Garmin fish finder is too big for Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk!

My dad just got himself a new Garmin 12" echo map ultra 126sv, and bless his heart, he thought it'd fit on the dash of his Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk side console. Well, turns out it's way too big for that dash! He's kinda bummed.

Can anyone here tell us what the right size is for the Crestliner?
Any advice or insights from fellow owners would be super helpful! Thanks a bunch!

Most guys stick with 7" or 9" units for that side console so you don't block gauges or lose visibility, if he's really set on keeping the 126sv, a RAM mount off to the side or even a gimbal bracket might be the way to go

How did he plan to mount it, flush into the dash or on a bracket? That size definitely needs a different setup or maybe a RAM mount off to the side

For the 1650 Fish Hawk, the ideal size for dash mounting is between 7 to 9 inches. A 12-inch unit can also fit, especially if you use a swivel arm mount positioned off to the side. This way, you can easily access it without obstructing any important gauges or sightlines.
